For the past three months, Open Data Delaware has been focused on answering one question: how can we make Delaware the most accessible state in the country? While that is a huge question, we believe that bring together data, technology, and the community can get us a few steps closer to that reality. That's why we built out the Open Data Challenge.
What's the Open Data Challenge?
Working with DelDOT and DNREC, the Open Data Challenge was built specifically to help answer that question. The Open Data Challenge consists of three parts: workshops, an Ideation Session, and a month-long hackathon called the Data Jam. We brought together teams from different backgrounds and skillsets from across the state to work towards solving this problem.
After a full month of work, teams from the Data Jam will present what they've built. Each team will have the opportunity to show off their work to a panel of judges. There is up to $35,000 on the line for winning teams.
Join us to see what each team was able to build over the course of the month!
